The Rape of Lucretia

Performed at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music in 2023. PC Mark Lyons This is one of Britten’s beautiful chamber operas that tells the ancient Roman tale of Lucretia and Tarquinius. This production features elements of early Christian animal symbolism with Lucretia as a dove and Tarquinius as a snake.
